Explore the Wildside of the Durham Dales and North Pennines with a wildlife expert
Exploring
on foot is the only way to fully appreciate the wildlife, nature and
beauty of the Durham Dales. Join professional naturalist, Bruce
Ferguson, on an expedition to discover the birdlife, the plants and the
mammals that help make these dales a very special location. We’ll look
for the tracks, trails and signs of the more secretive animals which
include red squirrel and otter. Although nothing is guaranteed the
exploration will undoubtedly open your eyes to the wild and often
hidden side of the Durham Dales.
As
an alternative to the above general exploration why not try our birding
expedition into the wilds of the North Pennine moorlands and discover
the waders and birds of prey for which this area is renowned.
