Identify trees and know their uses

Trees are a really important resource in bushcrafts. Each tree species has different properties that make it useful (or not!) for particular tasks. This activity will help you identify the main species of trees growing in our area and you’ll learn what you can and can’t use them for. We’ll cover:
  • Quick and easy identification features for each tree
  • The properties of greenwood
  • Bushcaft uses
  • Other uses
Duration: 3 hours

Cost: £50 for two people (£25 each); £10 per additional group member.
Individual one- to-one booking available at £50.

Further information: Minimum group size two; maximum 15. Participants should be 16 or over.

Activity leaders are qualified through the Institute for Outdoor Learning to teach bushcrafts and are CRB checked.

Location: North Pennines - Weardale
